Fiattone

Fiattone

Fiattone

Fiattone
Fiattone, whose origins are probably very ancient, has the typical characteristics of the traditional village of Garfagnana. It was an ancient Lombard feud, and was destroyed and reconstructed many times after the intense battles it was involved in between Lucca and Pisa. The church of the Saints Peter and Paul is the parish church of the village and was built in the second half of 1100. It has an old bell tower made of stone, which creates a magical atmosphere in the village, thus supporting the idea of its medieval origins.
